...Between Two Points is the title of Stefania MIGLIORATI’s exhibition that will inaugurate on the 20th November in Galerie Weisser Elefant - Refugium 2 in Berlin.
If I was a cat I would choose that point... then I would get tired and I would look for another one. Here it is. This is fine. It can carry my smell. It can have my sign.
These are the words used by the artist in order to describe her work.
Points that come one after the other, cross each other and take the spectator on a continuous discovery of something that the artist does not entirely reveal, but gives back to the individual redesign of being in the world.
The exhibited works are precisely prepared with skillful and patient technique creating through a game of references a cognitive path, sometimes specular, sometimes disorientating inside the exhibition space.
The site specific installations I lost my keys. I can’t find my keys. The door is locked and the house is on fire, Brain Ceiling, I was going to East while returning to West, stimulate with playful inputs the viewer, giving life first to a feeling of wait and then of discovery, as the wool hank is unraveled, as the links and the continuous references between the installations and the show itself become clear, in a path thought with acute intelligence by the artist.
But the circle is not closed, a long rope made of bowels (All are there forever), an umbilical cord crosses an exhibition room and finishes in an attic without light. Here there are no references… one of the two points is uncertain, dark: the life.
The exhibition will move to The Private Space, Barcelona in 2011.

Punti che si susseguono, si rimandano, si intersecano e accompagnano lo spettatore alla scoperta continua di un qualcosa che l'artista non svela, ma riconsegna alla riprogettazione individuale dell'essere proprio nel mondo.
Le opere esposte sono allestite accuratamente con tecnica abile e paziente e creano, attraverso un gioco di richiami un percorso cognitivo, a volte speculare, a volte disorientante all' interno dello spazio espositivo.

Ma il cerchio non si chiude, una lunga corda fatta di budella (All are there forever), un vero proprio cordone ombelicale attraversa una superficie espositiva e termina in una soffitta priva di luce, qui non ci sono rimandi… uno dei due punti è incerto, oscuro: la vita.
